Well, I have been SUPER lazy lately, although I still feel tired! Not sleeping in so much anymore, that did not last real long, but occassionally he will go a little later. I have not re-charged the battery in my camera (have not had to since I got it!), the battery in my cell-phone is not working, and I feel like I need a re-charge myself! We have been going to the pool almost everyday. Trying to get Ty to move up to the 'big' pool. Where we go they have a pool that is one foot deep and its perfect for the both of them to play around, and for me to sort of lay out in! We have seen lots of people from our new school there and a few family friends as well. Its been a fun family outing, Trent will come for a little while and then go practice and play golf. He is in LOTS of tournaments this summer. I have totally slacked on laundry and can't seem to catch up. Have not kept up any plants on my back porch. Barely water the ones next to the front door. What is wrong with me?!?

Our house is technically off the market but we still have to sign the legal release form and take the sign out of our yard and lockbox off our door. I think I am going to feel a lot better knowing that people can not just come in our house whenever they want anymore and I will not have to be SO prepared everytime we leave! Last week we had been at the pool all day and had just enough time to come home and rest and shower before going to celebrate our good friend Zach's birthday. However, wehen we got home there was a message for a showing. I rushed around to get everything perfect with such a bad attitude of thinking this is all for nothing!! I, nor the kids were able to bathe before leaving.

The silly thing is, I am really dissappointed. I was so not about selling in the beginning because I am not a person that likes change. Then I really got used to the idea. We found other homes that I liked better. Construction began to take place on all major streets around us. Our neighbors got well, I had better not say because that would be ugly. Only hot water comes out of the tub in my kids bath! Not out of the sink faucet just the tub. No explanation for that. They now take baths in ours every night. I cannot fix Olivia's room for a real bed in a few months because one will not fit in there with the other furniture she has. I thought we would have moved by now while I have a husband around for the summer. Now at least one street is open getting to our street so three other houses before ours decided to put theirs up as well. We have one month at for sale by broker and then I guess I will need to accept that is just is not meant to be.

We have had a lot of fun this month. We have SOAKED UP OUR DADDY BEYOND BELIEF!!! SO nice having him home for the summer! We celebrated Trent's brother Tim (aka Bum) last week for dinner and yummy Bahama Bucks! We have been to lots of our nephew Hunter's baseball games! He made allstars and his team is now in the playoffs! Lots of quality time with friends and friends who also happen to be family! Going to chuck e cheese with the girls and Ty! Birthday parties galore! Em had a beautiful lunch Saturday and I got to go while my( grand-in-laws?) kept the kiddoes and fixed my suberban so that I can now see what gear I am in! Trent is driving a fun new sporty little car that he occassionally let's me drive! Ty loves it because he thinks "Its baby's favorite color purple!" Really its maroon but whatever! Had Olivia's 18 month check up at 20 months-oops! Thanks to Denise mentioning taking Caleb who is just a week younger! She has yet to reach the 20 pound mark but is growing in an upward motion at a moderate pace! The girl did great getting two shots! We (kids and me) are planning a trip to my parents this coming week and look forward to seeing all of our family and friends in that area. That's it!

Just a few summer pics, from June mostly I think. Ty's hair is shorter and Liv's is longer! Enough for 'low' pigtails! Makes her look so much older I think :( Something crazy has been going on in the mornings. Trent has sports camp all week and gets up early to leave. He give Ty his milk and then puts him in bed with me. We have been sleeping in together until 9 everyday!!! This is the boy that never sleeps! I never thought I would say this, but it might as well be noon, feels like it! SO nice that he will FINALLY do this! His sister sleeps even later! Trent has camp again in the evenings so I have been letting them stay up a little later with movies and popcorn, playing, etc.... that helps a little too~ Have a great week!

By Larissa. No new big news around here. We had a great 4th out at Meme and G's- a tradition. They put on a fireworks show directly over their house so we always spend the day in the pool, eating and then pull out the chairs for the show. There is also a band near by that we get to benefit from! I actually got in the pool this year! My kids are not real wild about it this year although they both loved the pool last year!!! Craziness. Well on Monday, Brad and Sara (actually Sara) had their baby boy! We (Olivia and I) went to the hospital later that day to meet Carson Randall Kemp. Precious big healthy boy! Later on Thursday we headed to Arlington and I FINALLY got to meet, hold, and change Kyley's diaper! My close dear friend and sister Holly, friendship dating back to highschool, and through college had her only 15 weeks ago and I have been super jealous that everyone has seen her but me! I got in around 9:30, dropped girl and dog off at my parents and went straight to the McLean's house!!! Do you see the resemblance or what??!! Friday morning Trent and I headed for Marshall but made a quick stop in Tyler to see Brady and Sharon Irwin, who just hours earlier had their baby girl Bella.

We then went on to meet Brian and Amy for the tournament. I always look SO forward to this trip each year because it is the only true quality time time that we have with them all year. Amy was my roomate for the year and a half before Trent and I got married. She was more than just a roomate to me. We had so much in common but yet were very different at the same time. Maybe one of the only people in my life I immediately clicked with and hold very close to my heart. We had an absolute blast. We were able to watch our boys play quite a bit because the kids were all with their grandparents. After Saturday the four of us made our traditional trip out to Jefferson for lunch, a little shopping and of 'Texas' best limeade' for Brian. Sunday we went out for the first few hours and then Amy and I took in a show-also a rarity with little ones usually in tow! Too fun.

We returned that evening back to Arlington just in time to celebrate my Dad's 63rd birthday on Monday by eating at 'the original' Mexican Inn down on Lancaster in Ft.Worth. We have been going there since I can truely remember and its one of my favorite places as well so it was a treat for me too! SO blessed to have my dad as my dad for the 33 of those years. He is such a thoughtful caring person and has been a wonderful 'Pop' to Ty and Olivia.

We had a great week of seeing lots of people who are special to us that we don't get to see real often- but man is it good to be back in a place that is not so humid and back in our own beds. Ty's fish even lived for four days without food! Not one showing while we were gone and we are taking it off the market in four days and going FSBB until the end of August. Guess we will try again next year and make the best with what we have got for now. I have to say our neighbors across the street are not making that any easier. That could be and probably will be a blog in itself for a future read......

What a week!

I got a nice surprise from Trent two weeks ago- a cute little pink casio exilim digital camera! I LOVE IT! I had made the comment while at a rehearsal dinner last month, that it would be so nice to have a camera that fit in my purse. This would be the reason I did not bring ours to S.D, its too big and bulky and I already had too much stuff to bring on the plane. Well I was changing a diaper and in walks Trent, "SAY CHEESE!" as a flash goes off in my face! At first annoyed, and then happy to see that it was something different! I have been excited to use it and have included a few recent pictures because of it! Hopefully I will now be better about taking pictures! Thanks weasel!

Well, this past week has reminded me not to take our health for granted.

Last Saturday afternoon Olivia and I headed out to Crosbyton to see my good friend Krista (longtime very close friend originating at ACU), her three girls, and new born baby boy, and of course her parents. I was running late b/c I had to get the house situated for showings before leaving. I did not get a chance to eat and we had planned on going to eat once out there. I called and told them to go ahead. We got there and Olivia got real shy. The smaller girls were all asleep for a nap and her oldest was the perfect little hostess! Kayla will be in kindergarten this next year and it still baffles me. Cole was perfect and precious! Only three weeks old! I got to spend a lot of time holding him. Krista made us lunch, even though I kept begging her not to, and we had a WONDERFUL visit....well that is until Olivia threw up EVERYWHERE! She had a blowout that morning but I thought it was due to the spicey chimmichangas the night before. Well of course I cleaned everything up and we got out of there in case she had something contagious. I felt SOOO bad that we might have brought germs to them and to a new born baby! I also escaped without one photograph :( On the way home she got sick again. After being home she was tired but seemed to be better.

The only good thing that came from it was that I really cleaned my car for the first time in a long time. I had it washed the day before and had vaccummed it out but now I armoralled every last bit of surface and febreezed every bit of carpet. I felt like I had a brand new car!

Well Tuesday night, it hit Ty but worse. This was the first time he has ever been truely sick to his stomache. I had gone to run and come back to find the kids bathed and in bed. So Trent took off to run. I sat down to check my e-mail before hopping in the shower and Ty yells out, "Mommy my tummy hurts!" He always comes up with various ploys to not go to sleep, so my response was, "You are just fine, go to sleep." Next, it begins. We are talking his entire bed, wall, and bathroom. Trent is running this entire time. We had a showing at 9 the next morning and had already gotten the house ready. He did okay after several episodes within about an hour. Poor little guy. Needless to say, it was a long night but we made it up the next morning to get out of the house. We went to McDonald's and met Trent for breakfast and then the kids played.

That afternoon the realator called and the people that saw it wanted to come back for a second viewing. So me and the kids headed to the mall to meet KayEllen. I had not been in almost a year, Trent and I went walking around there after our anniversary dinner last year, in August! I have been to the play area and to a birthday party at lights off golf, but not actually going in stores! I found some things on sale for gifts, fun! We came back for naps later and my realator called saying they were bringing her an offer in the morning and it sounded really good! Trent came home that afternoon with what Ty had the night before, but a thousand times worse. I have to say I was not real sympathetic at first. The guy threw up three times on the golf course but refused to quti and come home. When I told him he was crazy he responded with, "I made even par though," as if justifying it! Only he would come back with a comment like that!

His lasted two days! After a long night once again, our realator called and said the people changed their minds. I got a touch of it as well during the night and we missed one of only 8 days of summer school. (BTW, I got the job for the fall, 4 days a week- PRAISE GOD! Its at Calvary only a few blocks from my current home) I guess it worked out well since we would not have been able to get together with our realator with all of us being sick-however I allowed myself to get a little excited so I am pretty dissappointed. My incredible MIL came and got the kids around lunch time and took them to eat and swim at her house with some of their cousins. WHAT A LIFESAVER! Trent and I were able to spend the day recooping. I am a lot better and Trent is getting there. I have never seen him this sick before..........it was bad.

Well we are all well just in time for Father's Day weekend! We do not have special plans as of yet. Trent is caddying for one of his players, Leah, in the Texas Women's Open next week and then we have our annul Marshall trip and tournament. We are not slowing down any, but its all fun stuff that we are looking forward to and feel blessed to be a part of. It will be nice to get away from the house for awhile and not be in and out for showings and constantly cleaning, for a few days anyway!

.....and that is all I have to say about that.

Well these past few weeks have settled down somewhat. When we got home, the following weekend Trent played in the Memorial Weekend tournament. This past week we have had several mornings together. Sister has been sleeping until 9 or later, her brother- different story but not as early as he was at one time. The boy just goes and goes. He goes to bed around 9:30 everynight. We usually have to get on to him a few times to be quiet. I go in around 10:30 or 11:00 only to find him still and quiet with his eyes wide open and him greeting me. He gets up around 7 in the morning!!! He never runs out of energy. He has a different voice now, higher pitched and has not quit talking. We had his follow up appt. the other day and he is completely healed. He has to go back in a month to see if his disolvable bandage is gone in his ear.

Today we had a shower for our friend Sara who is expecting a boy the 18th of this month! So fun! I will actually be around for this one! My plans for the later part of this month have changed a little. I have gotten a job for the month of June, just 8 days of it actually. Its at a summer pre-school program here in town. I am praying that it will lead to a four day a week job in the fall. Its pretty good money for just 8 days and is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am excited for my kids to go too, there is a Biblical water theme and they are incorporating lots of neat activities. I will be teaching the two's. I have an interview tomorrow after evening service at another pre-school in town which has school the opposite days of Bright Horizons. This would be my second choice for two reasons. One, much better pay at the first one I mentioned, and two- consistency for us all to go to the same place all week. This would be a better choice for our family. I have enjoyed Bright Horizons all along and would love to continue on like I have if the money were not an issue. I am planning on spending a lot of time in prayer about this. I can thank my sister-in-law for basically getting me the summer job. I had no idea it was even available! She is such a blessing to my life for many many reasons.

We will be going to Arlington still, well sort of. We will have a day and a half there right before our annual trip to Marshall for the tournament that Trent and Brian play in every year. We always look forward to our time in East Texas with our good buddies the Davis'!!! This year I think we will get to have some 'couples' time and leave the kids with grandparents. We have not been able to do be w/out kids for two years now so it will be nice. I am hoping to go home for a longer visit in July since I have not been since March.

We have been spending a lot of time outside these days! The weather has been great during the day but we have had lots of storms at night. Last night Trent sat in our entry way with the kids with all the lights turned off watching the lightening and listening to thunder. I should have video'ed it! They were all giggling and in amazement.

Tomorrow starts a new quarter at our church and Trent and I will both be teaching, different classes though. I was a little reluctant at first because this is the only quarter that we are able to attend our class together b/c of his travel schedule. They are in such need of teachers though so it just worked out like this. I always love it once I get in there. I am not a very good singer but I love those little baby faces!!!

House still has not sold and we have not had a showing now in four weeks. The main street getting to our neighborhood is now completely closed for construction which doesn't help. Looks like we won't be moving anytime soon! We are trying to be positive in hopes that things will pick up this summer. I have finally given in and done some yard work and done some potted plants.

We are also looking at tubes for Liv this month but have not scheduled anything yet. I am having a friend do a hearing screen on her and then we will probably look at marking it on the calendar. She is doing great and has not had an infection in a while. I have not put her on anti-biotics in a long time and I am wondering if that has any effect. With our insurance, we really try not to go the doctor anymore unless it is an emergency!

Kick Off 2 Summer

Let me just preface by saying, I have not been good at all about taking pictures lately so you will just have to use your imagination! I stole this one from the LCU athletics website (notice the hottie in the middle). Read below for explanaton.

Well last Wednesday was the last day of pre-school for the year. It was quite chilly, which sort of put a damper on our outdoor 'playday'. Kids still rode bikes, did sidewalk chalk, bubbles, popsicles, etc. but no water stuff as planned. It was a good day. Very hectic for me! Our laminator broke so I was doing scrapbooks right up to the end but our directors helped out- they are WONDERFUL!

My parents met us at school, went home to pick up my bags and I was off to San Diego! All within an hour! I was waiting at the airport and noticed a family right across from me. It was a guy who appeared to be close to my age with a parent on each side of him interlocking arms. I thought, what a close family! I had a "C" boarding pass so I got to watch everyone board before me. As this guy boarded his mother broke down crying and his dad as well but kept himself together more. I then noticed the back of his sweatshirt, "U.S. Navy". Of course, I started to ball as well. That mother was sending her little boy off to war. As I made my connection in beautiful Albe-quirky, he stood behind me in line and I had to share my emotion with what I witnessed. He said he would be in Iraq in 10 days and had come home for a 'goodbye' visit but was currently stationed in S.D. He is three years older than me, not married and his name is Scott Taylor from Lubbock, Texas. He is a photographer but will be on helicopters that will most likely be shot at. He has already lost friends over there. He assured me that he was quite nervous. Take a moment and say a prayer for Scott Taylor right now for his safety and for his Mom and Dad ( a real cute little couple) to have comfort and peace from God while he is over there.

Lloyd picked me up at the airport and we were off to San Marcos CC where the girls had been playing the previous two days. I was SO excited to be with my husband!!!! It was beautiful there but not quite as sunny and warm as I had hoped. I did not wear any of the shorts I brought all week. The girls did great and placed 16th, which is not bad for their first time out. Go to www.lcuchaps.com more details. It was really neat to see Trent in action. I don't know how he does it. He was ALL OVER THAT COURSE ALL DAY! He helped each girl and kept every move they made in his head! I had a hard enough time keeping up with just one girl! I followed him and have an even deeper appreciation of his job. It was also nice to get to know the girls a little more and have fellowship with them. Each one of them are really neat young ladies.

That Friday the tournament ended and we all went to Seaport Village for the evening. We shopped and ate and had a great time. The next morning the girls and the Rineharts left to go home and Trent and I drove up the coast to Leguna Beach to meet the rest of the Phillips clan for his cousin, Steven and Marit's wedding. It was a little warmer up there but not by much! On the way we did a little shopping and ate at a great restraunt, The Elephant Bar. The designer in me was very appreciative of the interior! I used to do hospitality and corporate design which included restraunts and hotels. I really miss the creative aspect of my job but not so much all the corporate mess that went along with it! The next day was shopping (fun stores like H&M-my favorite and J.Crew) with the girls and the rehearsal dinner at a wonderful steak place in Leguna, called Flemings. I think they are a chain. We were in a very intimate room in their wine cellar, was divine! The next day all the cousins, girl friends and wives went down to the beach for shopping and lunch and that night was the incredibly beautiful wedding.

Trent and I drove back down to San Diego Monday and went to an area my friend Bethany took me to a few years ago called Old Town. We got the best sushi we have ever had at Miso Sushi on Harney street...... yes like the song. Its the original buildings of S.D. We walked through the historical part and got Ty and Olivia some surprises. That night we went to a movie, Disturbia and came back to our hotel to watch the last of 'The Bachelor' and hit the hay. It was really nice spending some time together as a couple, which we have not been able to do for a LONG TIME! We were both ready to get back to those babies though! I have been kissing them nonstop! I think they each grew in a week, and both have longer hair! There is no place like home, no matter how pretty the scenery from where you went!!!

Now, onto summer with a husband!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, Ty has recovered quite nicely, I am SO happy to report!

Prayers Please

On a brighte note I have something fun to share. Yesterday Brad and Marli came over for a while. The doorbell rang and it was something from FedEx. I saw the words pro on the box and put it on the table and said, "I am sure its something golf for Trent." Brad was looking and said, "uh no, I think those are flowers!" The word flower was after pro. Remember, I am in a daze!

It was a beautiful bouquet of multi-colored tulips (my favorite) and a little box of chocolates! The card said "I love you, Ty" We could not figure out if they were for Ty or who they were from. I thought how odd that someone would send him flowers! Well, stupid me.....Trent called later and of course they were from him (and the kids) for Mother's Day. He will not be here on the real day and sent an early surprise! SO FUN!




Recovery has been rough. I need prayers on how best to care for my child. Everything I am doing thus far is not working real well. He has his ups and downs which I guess is the case with any recovery. The boy has not slept well for a week now. It was a week ago today that he had his surgery! He is up all night every night, he screams out for thirty minutes at a time about every hour or so. This of course is hard on all of us. The first two nights we let him sleep with us, after that we let him come to our bed for a night or so, then it was time to not form a habit of it. Night before last he came in sceaming 5 times! We would send him back but he would continue the fit in his bed. This of course makes his 'neck' hurt! He has been on Tylenol with codine, which obviously does not have the same effect on him as most people. I have been giving him regular tylenol instead for the most part. I have kind of been walking around in a daze and realized how long this had been going on while talking to Linnea on the phone this morning. I called the ENT and he is calling in something else. I also accidentally left his refrigerated anti-biotic last night so we will be getting another one of those! He does not take good naps, SO restless. We all need sleep! He gets super whiney when sick and its hard to know how compassionate to be and where to draw the line of acceptable behavior!


Trent was able to be there the whole day of the surgery but has been pretty out of pocket since with his benefit tournament, recruiting, and preparing for nationals this weekend. He especially has needed his sleep at night! Its just been hard on everyone and we need prayers.

I guess its a good thing we have not had any showings in three weeks with all of this going on. Our house has now been on the market for 5 months. There are roughly 1600 home on the market in our town right now, flooded. This would be a prayer request as well. There are various reasons we want to sell. Our backyard is sloped. We have had it leveled twice but its not cooperating. This does not allow a swingset or sand box or putting green or anything for that matter! We would also like some room for toys, their rooms are small. I guess its also a blessing that the two houses we put offers on early in this process did not work out, we would be getting pretty stressed out about now. All in HIS timing............ I pray that the right people will be brought to our home.

I have another prayer request too. My friend Mandy, who was my roomate in college for two years. This is not the same Mandy on my links list to the right. She is going through a divorce just after a recent miscarriage and learning that her mother has cancer. She has asked me to ask everyone I know to pray for her. Her husband is not a Christian- you can imagine the numerous ways that this effects this entire situation. She has been away from the church for the past few years and does not have a church family, long story. She needs some real encouragement. She has decided to pour out a lot of energy into running and training for a marathon as she copes with all of this. She is running for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and has to raise $3800 to do so. She has asked that I share this as well in case there is someone reading that might have encountered this nasty disease in some way or another. Last prayer request: Next week is the last week of school. I am attempting to finish their scrapbooks this weekend, nine of them. I am sad to say goodbye to this little class- they are so precious! I was really blessed this year with some compliant three year olds. I am hoping to teach four days a week next year at another school in town. This would allow me to still be with my kids for the most part, or at least in the near vacinity until they are in school. Then I will look at going back into Design. We are on a budget with a lot of expenses and this would be the most ideal situation for us right now. Please pray that God allows this to happen and that I can be placed with the right people at the right place.

Well that is a wrap for now..........things have been quiet for a whole 15 minutes, ahhhhhhhhhhh. You can't know this but its taken me over a few hours to write this post because of lots of interuptions. I did get a call back from the ENT and he is prescribing a different pain medication but can't do anything about the sleep factor. He suggested benedryl, but Ty has not ever been effected by that either. He just gets hyper! The Details

Yesterday we woke up early and got to High Plains Surgicenter (SUCH a nice place btw) at 7. We went back got Ty in a gown and they gave him a vallum. The only part I worried about was him being scared to go back now that he is an age to be able to freak out and not as easily distracted. We then gave him a surprise, a superman figure. He LOVED it! He immediately got 'loopy' and 'went for a ride' on the gurny (sp?). He got to take Superman with him and his prized cow blanket. After about 45 minutes the doctor came out and said, "OH BOY DID THOSE NEED TO COME OUT!" Needless to say they were overwhelmingly large to everyone involved. Also hard as rocks. The anesthesiologist said he could barely get the tube in because they were touching and there was no room. The doctor also mentioned that his adnoids were abnormaly large and that their removal would quite likely help with breathing and sinus issues. Also washed out his sinuses. Removed tube and lining and closed with a patch and dissolvable bandage.

The Worst part of the whole ordeal was when they took us back to see him. He was WILD. Nurses were holding him down, he was sreaming and naked. Apparently he had an accident and was having a hard time coming out of the anesthesia. He had an IV covered with an ace bandage to prevent him from ripping it out, which just about happened anyway several times. He also hit himself in the head with it and scratched up his face pretty good. They gave him a sedative in the IV while Trent and I and another nurse held him down. This one dose usually knocks a kid his age out within seconds. Not Ty! Took THREE SEDATIVES!!! He had a reaction and his face turned red and blotchy and he got real hot but not to a dangerous point. Just scary for ol' mom here! He got some rest and drank some juice and then we went home. He felt so much better once home and ate two big bowls of 'green' (mint choc. chip) icecream! He took a three hour nap that afternoon and ate fettuchini alfredo that G brought over for dinner.

Last night he tilted his head too far back and hurt himself and started crying- the first mention of complaint. He ate sonic ice and took his Tylenol with Codine and went to bed with us. He was restless throughout the night but okay.

Today has been a little rougher. He is not real hungry, only eaten a few bites of applesauce and stayed on the ice nonstop. He has complained how he is not talking better and that his tummy hurts. Only one complaint of his throat but not near as lively as last night.

They say the third day is the worst- tomorrow. It definately was for me! He is to eat mushy things and limit activity for 7 days and soft things up to 15 days. They told us to really watch him for bleeding because of all they did. Please continue to pray for his recovery. Its sad to see him sad. His voice is also really different! Very weird to me. I hear him talk and think its not him! I guess it really wasn't him before since it was like someone always clenching his little neck!

Ty's surgery

Ty is having a tonsilectomy and adnoidectomy along with a tube removal and patch to cover this Friday. These are all separate procedures being done at the same time. His breathing is worse and its breaking our hearts hearing him gasp for air while sleeping. We can't wait any longer. Please say some prayers for him and us this week if you can.

Ty

Some things that I want to remember about Ty at this age:

-He has added "Ya know" to the end of everything he says.

-Does not want to have anything to do with any food except for superman or spiderman fruitsnacks or hotdogs

-His favorite color is green

-His favorite shows are Blues Clues, Go Diego, Legion of Superheros, and Spongebob

-He loves to "nuggle" and shoeves his feet under your legs

-He asks everyday to wear a green striped shirt with brown pants (like Steve) In fact he makes us call him Steve sometimes.

-He LOVES to play outside- help mom water plants (his favorite), gather sticks, play catch, chase Murray, pick flowers, squash bugs, play bubbles and draw with sidewalk chalk

-He has a crush on a girl named Jenna in his class (the youth minister's daughter, she is one of two girls in the class and his friend Joshua Clausen says he is going to marry her). They hold hands in chapel at school he tells me that she puts her head on his shoulder.

-When Dad's away he makes us call him Dad, me Trent, and says things like goodnight honey!
He also says frequently, "I am going to my office" and then heads out the back door to drive his big red car to work!

-His prayer at night, "Dear God, tank you for dis bootifull day, tank you Popneata, MemeG, all are frenz, all our famly, food, house, and dog, and JESUS.........AMEN.


-If there is a corner, he will more than likely hit it with his head!

-LOVES to take baths but especially in mommy's tub with the jets on!

- He calls Olivia "baby" or Wivveeee. He hugs and kisses on her A LOT. When she gets hurt or in trouble she goes to him first and puts her head in his chest. He just holds her and says in the sweetest little voice, "It otay baby......" while patting her little back.

-Getting independent, likes to put his shoes on BY MYSELF (even gets them on the correct feet!), as well as socks and clothes.

-Still enjoys wearing Trent and my shoes around the house. We find them later in the strangest places!

-He loves to help with ANYTHING he can. He always begs to hold the door for people. If someone drops something he runs to pick it up.

-He uses his manners without being told the majority of the time. Even knows to take his hat off upon entering a building thanks to his Daddy.

-Loves to talk about the Bible, in fact he is very possesive of his and enjoys sleeping with it most nights! He reminds me that Jesus is real and He keeps us safe.

-He raises his eyebrows as he smiles when he is embarassed, also turns red very easily!

-If he thinks a girl is pretty he can barely look at her, has very good taste by the way!

-Calls Murray his dog Blue

-His favorite songs are Away In A Manger and My Only Sunshine. I catch him singing church songs quite a bit as he is playing or just riding a long in the car.

-He always points out that we are nearing his house and gets real excited when he sees it, asking. "Do you see my house!!??!!! I DO!!!!"

He has the sweetest spirit and kind little heart. He is still a Mamma's Boy and I hope that NEVER changes. I pray every night that God keep him safe and protected from harm surrounded by Angels at all times. He has his moments but they are fewer and far between. He likes to pretend he is a baby and say things like his sister, asks to be held alot. I think he is just real ready for his Daddy to be around for the summer!

No, its not snow..........HAIL! We had a thirty minute down pour of itabout 2 today! Pure craziness! Scroll down for the latest happenings.

The rest of these are just ones that I thought were sweet. The Broncos have been Trent's favorite team since he was not much older than Ty is now. We have a hand-me-down jersey from his cousins and he sported it for his Dad's birthday dinner last Friday night. Our friend Colt and Trent share the same birthday so Suzanne and I planned a little surprise birthday dinner for them and the friends we have in common. It was hard to get them to cooperate but they were surprised none the less and it was a good time. Of course I did not get any pictures of that... sorry. I can't believe we are 'in our thirties'!!!!
I must say its been the best time in my life though! It IS just a number and Trent still gets mistaken for one of the golfers instead of the coach so he has nothing to worry about! Well..... we are going to be keeping our internet so the blogging does not have to cease afterall! (I think my most avid readers never comment, I have gotten a lot of surprising verbal ones on this issue!) Just nixing the cable and phone- just cell phones now. No more Diego or Spongebob for Ty or ESPN for Trent. I will not even be effected! Will just have to wait until 7 for longdistance! Not a big deal. Also, I can now see 100%!!!!!! So weird not to be putting contacts in or glasses on! It was all worth it and SO nice! I would encourage everyone who struggles with sight to look into finding out if you are a candidate. I feel very fortunate to have had that option and although it tried my patience........I am all around a better person for it! Also reached that 21 days...........it was not a perfect 21 days but has really caused me to think before I speak and make a conscious effort to not complain in any area of my life. What a challenge! Happy Easter!

We go to early service and the kids saw their baskets this morning but were still pretty out of it as we were getting them dressed in front of them. It was not until we got home (which was when I took these pictures) that they really enjoyed them. They got into their sacks of jelly beans first thing! Yesterday we woke to heavy snowfall and this morning it was still on the ground! I asked Trent this morning, "Why would God make it snow on Easter of all days!" His answer, "Maybe he is trying to make a point that the meaning is not about new spring Easter outfits!" I thought that was a good thought! He got to come with us to church this morning but left with the girls after service. Please be praying for their safety as they travel and for a good tournament all around in OKC. I am about to go start a fire, yes on EASTER and Ty and I will finish watching Alice and Wonderland in front of it while sister is in, as Aunt Linda calls it, noo noo! In other news, I keep forgetting to mention it, Liv is now in a normal front facing carseat!!! She is only almost 18 months old, the 11th!!!! Have a great week!

Pictures and Prayer Request

Here are some more recent pictures, some of the wonderful spring weather we WERE having! Now of course its in the 40's..........good ole Texas! LOVE my lil Al Bundy at the top!

Well I have a prayer request. We went to the ENT yesterday and it looks as though Ty is going to have his tonsils out within the next month. They are so large that there is no space between them and Dr. Potacki referred to them as an obstruction to his airway! Well we are waiting to schedule for two reasons. The first being we want Dad to be there and have to work around his tournament and recruiting schedule. The second being insurance and the lack of coverage. Since we have had a job change we have also had a provider change. Something I realize now that I always took for granted. Our new provider "provides" nothing along these lines until you have been with them for at least 6 months and after that a small percentage, I think. Anyhoo... I called the Dr.s office to see just how much we are looking at and the person I need to talk to was not there and will not be back until Monday. I had this procedure done two years ago and its not a small price. Actually, our entire family have had some sort of procedure done every year for the past three years with this same ENT. Ty had tubes at 17 months old, My tonsils were actually the first when Ty was just 10 months old, and Trent had sinus surgery last year. Olivia has an appt. at the end of the month for ears after 9 ear infections, not consecutively. Its just a lot to swallow all at once and I know God will provide. He ALWAYS does. Just pray for us that we don't get stressed out about all of it and that Ty gets the care that he needs in the time that he needs. His speech is even effected by his tonsils! Also for my patience as I call around getting information and as children are carrying on in the background oblivious to an important phone call! Thank you for being people I can call on for prayer and encouragement. I am SO very blessed by all the people I have in my life.
