Summmer tiiiiime...............

Here we go~

I am working Tuesdays and Thursdays for the month of June. One more week but probably some extra days here and there to get things switched over to our new system. I was kind of bummed about doing it at first but it has turned out to be teh best thing for ALL of us. A nice balance for them to get out of the house and be around other kids and me adults. The fighting between them has been crazy!Ty is in the older class which has taken a field trip every thursday to fun places like bowling, the science spectrum, and a picnic. He is also doing Thrilling Thursdays at our church this summer. Its just one a month but all service oriented. For the June one they went and handed out water bottles. It has been triple digits here for weeks and STILL no rain. No measurable rain since October of last year :( Everything looks terrible and is dead. Needless to say the water was precious!

The kids started VBS last night for the first time. I think Ty may have been there as a baby but we are usually out of town in MARSHALL this weekend. I am still real sad that we were not. There was some confusion on the husband parts so I guess we will make it next year. The upside is the kids LOVE VBS!

Levi is now 16 months old and a BUSY little guy! He can open doors and does. He likes to climb chairs, he can get out of the tub on his own, screw and unscrew lids, takes his diaper off. Speaking of the diaper, he tells me when he has had a bowel movement! C R A Z Y! He has used the potty twice :) He talks and repeats EVERYTHING in the same tone and all. Its downright freaky compared to our other children!

My parents bought the cutest house here back in October. They had originally talked about moving here but now I think its just a place they are enjoying staying at when they visit, which has been more often and for longer periods of time. I am enclosing some pics of it and then of then two of the kids at Olivia's end of the year program back in May. I wasn't as teary at it as I thought I would be, but then again I spent the majority of it in a hallway chasing Levi!

Easter

This Easter was SO much FUN! Levi did not fit into his basket like last year but he got a lot more use out of it! That Thursday before Olivia's class had a hunt and party at school. My parents came in that Friday and enjoyed the rest of the festivities with us. My mom and I enjoyed making deviled eggs. Well she did the making I enjoyed the eating! One of my favorite things EVER! We went to church that morning and then came home and gave them their Easter baskets, which I managed to not get a picture of the contents, and not a great one of all three of them looking at that. Hey, thats real life! Later they took naps while my mom and I fixed dinner complete with a Ham, scalloped potatoes, bacon wrapped asparagus, and fresh salad :) While the ham was cooking we met our neighbors out front for an egg hunt! Our lontime and across the street neighbor Ella came as well as our new little neighbor Vivienne! Levi was more interested in opening and closing the eggs than hunting them! What a beautiful day it turned out to be. Will be one of my fondest memories that day...

Spring Break!

I have LOTS of updates. Wow, the third child and working full time will really put the blog on the back burner!

I will start with Spring Break. Trent took almost a week off. BOY DID WE NEED IT! We left Tuesday evening that week and got to Arlington LATE. That next morning he surprised us with tickets to SIX FLAGS!!! The kids had never been and it had been since before I have been married that I had been. It was the perfect day for it. Overcast and high in the low 70's! We had a ball. We started out with the kids stuff and by the end we all four rode The Judge Roy Scream!! Ty was not a fan, Olivia on the other hand was ready for The Shock Wave, but to her dismay was broken down. We stayed until dinner time and then took the kids back to my parents and headed to a hotel in Dallas to have some time to ourselves. We pretty much lived our lives before children going to all of our favorite places. I also shopped while Trent played golf and was able to get the rest of the items to complete their Easter baskets. Next post for that. I think collecting things all year for stockings and Easter baskets is just about my favorite shopping to do! I plan to continue it well in to their adulthood! It was a much needed vacation for all of us. The kids had a ball swimming and watching their shows, and eating whatever their hearts desired at Pop and Citas!

Its that time of year again....

The business has begun. We have now had several meals in the car and I have just ordered a fun personalized little cooler from Thirty One to help out with that! We now have two children in two different sports, with 2-3 practices a week plus games , in addition to one in piano and one in dance, that are just once a week. However, we typically have at least two of those things a day! The biggest challenge of it all is dragging Levi around to everything. He has been walking for two months now. I thought that outside at soccer practice would be an okay place to let him out of a stroller and have some freedom. It was okay but not as easy as I had anticipated. Who knew there were SO many things on the ground in grass that he would think looked great to put in his mouth! I choose not to let him roam around at dance b/c the floor turns his hands black and then again there is that whole mouth issue! The poor kid has had a rough first year due to various illnesses which I have not had time to blog about. Turns out having a third, and working full time does not give much free time to Mamma! Here it is in a nutshell:

Christmas Eve: Chicken Pox ( due to cradle roll teacher not knowing she had shingles at the time) You have to be a year old to get the vaccination and he was 10 months. It was fine really b/c he was oblivious to the fact he had spots covering his face, but it prevented he and his dad from being around family at his very first Christmas :( Side note, that next morning Trent ran out of the room with a stomach bug as our kids ran in to see 'Santa's' loot :(

January: RSV

February: week before his birthday- his little finger was severed in the hinge side of my daughter's door. It was horrific. My least gracious moment of my life as I was yelling at ER nurses, in my defense I was holding a screaming infant trying to keep him from getting to the finger I held in a papertowel as they were asking me what he was allergic to. First off he was born there and they have access to everything on one page, second he is not quite a year old and we have no idea what he may be allergic to! Trent said he would hate to see me in a life threatening situation, well me too!!!

March: first week- stomach bug and pulled stitches out of his re-attached finger.
week before spring break- we think may have been the flu. March:Fever everyday for 5 days and at one point was up to 104.

Well the Spring has begun with three games now under our belt, and three days of blowing dirt! The JOYS of living in Lubbock Texas! The true joy will be this summer. Seriously the summer nights here are priceless and we spend most of them on our patio. I am VERY much looking forward to summer this year and hoping to return to the pool on a regular basis, now that baby is old enough to have sun block! Spring Break teased me hugely! We had a wonderful time and were able to get away but that will be another post later. I will include pictures soon to go along with the finger and pox. They are going in his baby book as well! He has recovered by the way. The finger looks terrible but at least it no longer has to be bandaged!

Levi's First Birthday

All that birhtday fun WORE me out!

NEW YEARS 2011!!!

We met at the Summers house before going on to a fun swanky little restraunt called Stella's here in town. Its one of my favorite date places that we don't get to go to real often. Wonderful food, good music, and even better company! My parents were in town and were able to keep the kids. It was the first time Trent and I had been 'out' on New Years in MANY years!

The girls!

A 'tattoo' my friend Calllie made. It lasted a week!

She got a 'big girl' scooter. She ripped the fringe off within hours :(

Aunt Tina gave her makeup!

This captured one of my favorite DAD moments with Trent. Trent has been working a lot of hours and was working on his laptop one evening not too long after Christmas and Ty came and asked him to play checkers (that he got in his stocking) and Trent dropped what he was doing and said, "sure son. anything for you." They played several games. SO proud of the dad Trent is.
