Halloween

Pop and Cita were in town and brought all the yummy decorating goods!! Thanks to Cita for making the cupcakes! That is a book on the counter that I finally compiled of Halloween through the years. We sure had a good time looking back~

Levi's first time to 'really' trick or treat!

Dad helped Levi pull up the rear of the group!

Itsy Bitsy Spider

My little child bride!

We had SO much fun this year! We always Trick-Or-Treat with our neighbors, The Martins and The Hanks, but this year we added a classmate and close friend of Ty's- Skye! Our neighborhood is GREAT, everyone gets out in the front yard or at the door and particiapates. We love it here!

Ty chose Batman, again this year but this time The Dark Knight. I was thought Olivia's choice was so odd at first but she of course pulled it off beautifully! I made her bouquet but after a costume birthday party that took place earlier that week, we had to do quite a bit of pinning to hold it together. Will not be able to be used for dress up :(

Trent and I also attended our friends, The King's annual Halloween party and went this year as Popeye and Olive Oil. My outfit was a little more snug than I would have liked but it was fun as always.

Corn Maze

our sweet friend and neighbor, Ella

min-maze :)

While Dad played in his usual Thursday night scramble, the kids and I took off toward Shallowater to the Corn Maze with several friends from church. Levi did GREAT in his stroller through the maze and had fun seeing the animals. My most proud moment was when Olivia took her own money, un-beknown to me, and bought her older brother ice cream and a barrel train ride. Such a sweet giving heart that girl has!

South Plains Fair

We kept with tradition back in September and went to our county fair but with our good friends The Kunkles! We had a BLAST as always and a ton o junk food :)

First Day of School

My baby started kindergarten this year! Well not the baby of the family, actually the middle child but it was not as easy as I thought. SHE did great! Both kids are blessed with a perfect fit of a teacher this year. God always takes care of us. Now that we are well into the year, I am just now posting this!! Ty made all A's the first six weeks and just one B this past one. Focus issues. Olivia is at the top of her class!!! I have had the pleasure and blessing of being able to help in her class on Wednesdays every week! Precious group of kids!

Summmer tiiiiime...............

Here we go~

I am working Tuesdays and Thursdays for the month of June. One more week but probably some extra days here and there to get things switched over to our new system. I was kind of bummed about doing it at first but it has turned out to be teh best thing for ALL of us. A nice balance for them to get out of the house and be around other kids and me adults. The fighting between them has been crazy!Ty is in the older class which has taken a field trip every thursday to fun places like bowling, the science spectrum, and a picnic. He is also doing Thrilling Thursdays at our church this summer. Its just one a month but all service oriented. For the June one they went and handed out water bottles. It has been triple digits here for weeks and STILL no rain. No measurable rain since October of last year :( Everything looks terrible and is dead. Needless to say the water was precious!

The kids started VBS last night for the first time. I think Ty may have been there as a baby but we are usually out of town in MARSHALL this weekend. I am still real sad that we were not. There was some confusion on the husband parts so I guess we will make it next year. The upside is the kids LOVE VBS!

Levi is now 16 months old and a BUSY little guy! He can open doors and does. He likes to climb chairs, he can get out of the tub on his own, screw and unscrew lids, takes his diaper off. Speaking of the diaper, he tells me when he has had a bowel movement! C R A Z Y! He has used the potty twice :) He talks and repeats EVERYTHING in the same tone and all. Its downright freaky compared to our other children!

My parents bought the cutest house here back in October. They had originally talked about moving here but now I think its just a place they are enjoying staying at when they visit, which has been more often and for longer periods of time. I am enclosing some pics of it and then of then two of the kids at Olivia's end of the year program back in May. I wasn't as teary at it as I thought I would be, but then again I spent the majority of it in a hallway chasing Levi!

Easter

This Easter was SO much FUN! Levi did not fit into his basket like last year but he got a lot more use out of it! That Thursday before Olivia's class had a hunt and party at school. My parents came in that Friday and enjoyed the rest of the festivities with us. My mom and I enjoyed making deviled eggs. Well she did the making I enjoyed the eating! One of my favorite things EVER! We went to church that morning and then came home and gave them their Easter baskets, which I managed to not get a picture of the contents, and not a great one of all three of them looking at that. Hey, thats real life! Later they took naps while my mom and I fixed dinner complete with a Ham, scalloped potatoes, bacon wrapped asparagus, and fresh salad :) While the ham was cooking we met our neighbors out front for an egg hunt! Our lontime and across the street neighbor Ella came as well as our new little neighbor Vivienne! Levi was more interested in opening and closing the eggs than hunting them! What a beautiful day it turned out to be. Will be one of my fondest memories that day...
