SUMMER LOVIN

Previous summers have been filled with baseball, sports camps, daily playdates, trips back and forth to Dallas, and classes. Last summer I got smart and continued the theme of LAZY this year.  You see my kids are 10, 8, and 4. I realize my summers with all three of them are down to 8 left.  I want to soak it up but give them (and me) a break from the crazy hussle and bussle of the year. Our weekends stay full of games and our evenings of homework, reading, and dance, piano, guitar, baseball, basketball, etc during the year.  Our summer has been a contrast. We started off with some structure that eventually led to just pure chill. We do pick up, make our beds, and clean at least twice a week. The laundry is not quite as caught up but does indeed happen.  But we also go to the pool, watch movies, take naps, and play with neighborhood kids. Here are some highlights....

Had the opportunity to go to The Lubbock Arts Festival with Olivia's second grade class this year. Its my favorite one they do! Olivia has a love for art as I do. We watched the ballet, we saw someone spin pottery on a wheel, hear people sing and act as well as viewed art in all media. It was a beautiful day for it and all the kids acted well and had a blast! It was such a blessing to be able to attend with Mrs. Johnson's class!!!
